I have heard Gadget articulate his imaginative responses to the Government, before today.
I have a grudging respect for Simon Cowell and his "ilk" who have made careers out of underestimating the taste of the British public.
But, Mr Area, it's better to be "right" than "popular". And there are lots of people who would rather sit in the pub with you than Cowell!

Loved it.
I do like it when the Great British Public revolt. I would not be at all surprised if it became an unofficial anthem, while the likes of Kate Price, during their small screen rehabilitation were consigned to hell with Cowell etc.
I love it.
Think it's the only song i've liked at No. 1 in the Charts for about 15 years! :)

christmas greetings all, and good luck dealing with the weather. we got a bit of the same here on our east coast, but i'm about 120 miles inland and didn't see any of it, we're used to heavy snowfalls and have the equipment to sort it out. wishing all on board a happy and hopefully prosperous new year.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ALL OUR POLICE OFFICERS
Please spare a thought this Christmas for the lads and lasses who will be doing their very best to ensure we all enjoy a safe and peaceful christmas – the police officers who will be working while we enjoy our rest over Christmas. Spare them a kind thought and send them your best wishes. We pray that your shifts pass peacefully and that you are able to enjoy some special festive times with your families and loved ones.
A special thank you goes out to the unsung heroes of police blogging this year and the years that have gone before. Having worked long, hard challenging shifts, dealing with the worst society can throw at them, they find the time and energy to write their articles, share their experiences, with a great passion for “What’s right” and delivered in the most part, with good humour.
Thank you to one and all, you know who you are, for all your fine efforts. We look forward to plenty more and perhaps some well deserved reforms for you in 2010.
